The PRO3 Series returned to Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington, over the weekend of May 17–18, 2025, for the highly anticipated Spring Sprints — a key round in the 2025 ICSCC schedule. Set against the backdrop of one of the Northwest’s most iconic road courses, the event brought together a full grid of classic BMW E30 race cars, delivering tight competition and a strong community showing.
Among the field was Advanced Auto Fabrication (AAF Racing), a long-time PRO3 sponsor and a helpful hand to the series’ growth. AAF is known not only for building and maintaining top-tier race cars, manufacturing the iconic AAF M20 race headers, but also for supporting new and returning drivers through our arrive-and-drive program — offering a streamlined way to get on track with professional-level preparation.
Driving the AAF bold blue-and-black #7 was Shaun Northrop, who turned heads with a strong and consistent performance throughout the weekend. Northrop’s car, pictured on grid among the PRO3 field, was a testament to AAF’s attention to detail and trackside support. From qualifying to race day, Shaun drove clean, confident laps and continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
The Spring Sprints served as another reminder of what makes PRO3 special — competitive but respectful racing, a tight-knit paddock, and dedicated teams along with so many new novices helping to keep the series thriving.
With more events on the horizon and a growing love for the class, PRO3 fans and racers alike can look forward to another season of exciting grassroots motorsport in the Pacific Northwest.
