AAF Vented Power Steering Cap Kit

If you have a ZF Power Steering reservoir in your street or race car, your power steering cap is probably venting or sweating fluid all over the reservoir. We got tired of zip tying a rag over the cap to soak up the mess left by the poorly-designed factory cap, so we’ve developed a permanent solution! Introducing the AAF Billet Power Steering Cap Kit. Our kit comes with everything you need to prevent and capture any excess fluid from leaving your power steering system. It features a CNC billet 6061 aluminum cap, machined and built in-house here at AAF. This one-of-a-kind cap is much improved over the factory part in two ways: 

1. The factory cap allows fluid that is sloshing in the reservoir to make its way up the dipstick and out the vent under normal driving conditions. Our vent is drilled at the very top of the dipstick, reducing the chance of any fluid loss by several times.
2. Our cap features features a vent fitting at the top that allows connection to a small billet catch can (optionally provided), for clean and safe capture of any excess fluid.

This cap fits most vehicles with the ZF-style reservoir (pictured in gallery). We’ve installed them on E46, E36, 964, 993, and custom hot rods that used the ZF reservoir, all with great success!

Note for E46 Non-M users: This part is designed to work with racing engine mounts (solid preferred). Hood clearance on E46 non-M not guaranteed with OEM rubber engine mounts, which may flex or break unpredictably under hard use.
