MCS Suspension for E46
The Motion Control Suspension (MCS) 1-Way Non-Remote Reservoir (1WNR) Non-Coil-Over-Rear damper system is used for NASA SPEC E46.
1WNR
The MCS 1WNR damper is a Single-adjustable damper. Well-mannered on the street and capable of making higher-rate springs feel comfortable. Valving covers a wide range of spring rates and eliminates the need to constantly re-valve every time you want to increase or decrease your spring rate. 1WNR dampers have tremendous capability in a clean, easy to install and use package.
All MCS 1WNR dampers have an adjustment range of 18 settings of rebound control and come standard with spring hardware.
Built as an ‘entry-level’ (yet still race-capable and winning) damper, 1WNR dampers are upgradable to our other damper systems. The modular design of MCS damper systems uses interchangeable parts for an easy upgrade, without the need to invest in a new package. All MCS dampers are fully rebuildable, serviceable and can be custom-valved and upgraded any time.
MCS Single Adjustable dampers come packaged with dampers, front spring perches, top attachment nuts, and adjustment knobs. Springs, camber plates, rear ride-height adjusters, and rear shock mounts are required and available separately.
2WNR
The MCS 2WNR damper is a double-adjustable damper with a unique adjustment mechanism for easy access and fast changes – both compression and rebound are independently adjustable from a single knob at the top.
Both rebound (18 clicks) and compression (14 clicks) are controlled by a blow-off valve directly on the main piston for the most precise and accurate damping control – not a needle valve with a smaller effective adjustment range before the needle is too far out of the orifice to influence flow. And the best part – both settings are adjustable on one very clever knob, within easy reach under your hood or in your trunk.
2W With Remote Reservoir
The MCS 2-Way damper is far from basic. This damper set features a full 18 clicks of compression adjustment and 18 clicks of rebound adjustment over a wide range, specific to each vehicle’s specific requirements. Remote reservoirs give superior fluid temperature control and are available (or standard depending on application) with quick-release hydraulic lines for easy installation.
Reservoir pressure can be adjusted between 100 – 275 PSI to help support the platform in fast cornering or generate more weight transfer/traction at low velocity.
Dampers are more than just a number of adjustments and just click count – the shape of the resulting curves is specifically engineered to give your car the most grip through the range of surface conditions and dynamic inputs your vehicle experiences. 2-Way dampers are available for many popular sports cars.
3W With Remote Reservoir
The MCS 3-Way damper is the ultimate damper for professional racers or anyone that demands ultimate performance. The 3-Way remote reservoir canister has been designed to give the engineer, suspension tuner, or driver more control over the vehicle platform by adding adjustment to the low-speed compression damping performance, in addition to both the high-speed compression and rebound damping forces.
This damper set features a full 18 clicks of high-speed compression, 10 clicks low-speed compression, and 18 clicks of rebound adjustment. The low-speed bump adjuster is located on top of the high-speed adjuster and can be adjusted independently.
