Damper Systems

We offer a broad range of motorsport damper systems that differ in the level of adjustability available to you at the turn of a knob. Our systems are nested into two families, non-remote & remote systems. The non-remote systems package easier while the remote systems introduce benefits that you will both feel and see in your data. All systems are built from the same materials, built to withstand extensive use in motorsport applications.

No matter which MCS system you choose, you can expect to achieve faster lap times, better tire wear, and a system that will grow with you as both driver and car progress. All MCS systems are completely serviceable and upgradable. We maintain a fully equipped service & repair department.

MCS 1 Way Non Remote (1WNR)

The MCS 1WNR damper is a single-adjustable damper with an adjustment range of 18 settings. Built as an “entry-level” (yet still race-capable and winning) damper, MCS 1WNR dampers are upgradable to our other damper systems. The modular design of MCS damper systems use interchangeable parts for an easy upgrades, without the need to invest in a new package. All MCS dampers are fully rebuildable, serviceable and can be custom-valved and upgraded any time.

These dampers are packed with technical features with elegantly clean execution. The monotube design is very stable with more oil capacity and better heat dissipation than twin tube dampers. Large shafts give extremely high, low-friction side-load support unmatched by shocks inverted and converted for strut applications. The large main piston gives quick, accurate damper response and the divider piston separates oil and gas, eliminating cavitation which often causes noise and sloppiness.

MCS 2 Way Non Remote (2WNR)

The MCS 2WNR damper is a double-adjustable damper with a unique adjustment mechanism for easy access and fast changes. Both compression and rebound damping forces are independently adjustable from one very clever knob, within easy reach under your hood or in your trunk. No more dragging a jack to pit lane, laying on the ground in your nice clothes or driving suit, or burns from hot brake components.

Damping forces are controlled by blow-off valves directly on the main piston for the most precise and accurate damping control, and not a needle valve with a smaller effective adjustment range before the needle is too far out of the orifice to influence flow.

MCS 2 Way

The MCS 2W damper is a double-adjustable damper with external reservoirs which allow for adjustment of the gas pressure in the damper. Both compression and rebound damping forces are independently adjustable with the compression adjuster located on the reservoir head and the rebound adjuster located on the shaft-end.

Compression damping forces are controlled by a large blow-off valve located directly on the reservoir main piston for the most precise and accurate damping control, and not a needle valve with a smaller effective adjustment range before the needle is too far out of the orifice to influence flow.

Rebound damping forces are controlled through orifices located at the main piston assembly in the damper body and allow for precise hydraulic control of damper oil through the main piston. Utilizing orifices introduces the ability to have a wide operating range, avoiding pesky re-valves, consistency in damping adjustment per click, and virtually eliminates fatigue with usage.

Gas pressure can be adjusted through a schrader valve located at the end of the remote reservoir, allowing you to increase or decrease the overall support to the vehicle. Reservoir pressure can be adjusted between 100 – 275 PSI to help support the platform in fast cornering that generate large loads or allow more weight transfer to generate more traction in low grip scenarios.

Large shafts give extremely high, low-friction side-load support unmatched by shocks inverted and converted for strut applications. The large main piston gives quick, accurate damper response and the divider piston separates oil and gas, eliminating cavitation which often causes noise and sloppiness.

Remote reservoirs give superior fluid temperature control and are available (or standard depending on application) with Staubli dry-breaks for easy installation.

MCS 3 Way

The MCS 3W damper is a triple-adjustable damper with external reservoirs which allow for adjustment of the gas pressure in the damper. High speed compression, low speed compression, and rebound damping forces are independently adjustable with the compression adjusters located on the reservoir head and the rebound adjuster located on the shaft-end.

High Speed Compression damping forces are controlled by a large blow-off valve located directly on the reservoir main piston for the most precise and accurate damping control, and not a needle valve with a smaller effective adjustment range before the needle is too far out of the orifice to influence flow.

Low Speed Compression damping forces are controlled through orifices located at the compression main piston assembly in the reservoir head and allow for precise hydraulic control of damper oil.

MCS 4 Way

The MCS 4W is quadruple-adjustable damper with an external reservoir. High speed compression, low speed compression, high speed rebound, and low speed rebound damping forces are independently adjustable. Gas pressure is also adjustable. The high speed compression and low speed compression adjusters are located on the remote reservoir head. High speed rebound and low speed rebound damping forces are independently adjustable from one very clever knob. With the knob in the “down” position, high speed rebound forces are adjusted. With the knob in the “up” position, low speed rebound forces are adjusted.

High speed compression damping forces are precisely controlled by a large blow-off valve located directly within the piston assembly in the remote reservoir head. Low speed compression damping forces are controlled through orifices located directly within the piston assembly in the remote reservoir head and allow for precise hydraulic control of damper oil.

High speed rebound damping forces are precisely controlled by a blow-off valve located directly directly within the piston assembly inside the damper body. Low speed rebound damping forces are controlled through orifices located at the main piston assembly in the damper body and allow for precise hydraulic control of damper oil through the main piston assembly

Blow-off valves effectively manage high speed forces to maintain maximum mechanical grip.
